UNENE News
- As of September 1, 2009
Dr. Basma Shalaby is appointed President of UNENE. Her 34 years of
CANDU experience including 11 years as Chief Engineer at AECL, her
experience
with various IAEA working groups, and her experience in preparing and
delivering training lectures are highly valued.
In semi-retirement, Bill Garland will continue his
association with UNENE as Academic Consultant.
- July 2008 brings several changes to UNENE administration. We welcome Victor Snell as Program Director, Ben Rouben as Secretary / Treasurer. Bill Garland doffs those rolls but remains as President.
- In April 2008, Administrative Assistant Rosemary Warne moves off to a new position in the Faculty of Science at McMaster University. Good luck Rosemary and thanks for making things happen at UNENE in the past 18 months. As good fortune should have it, we can welcome Lori Cole back.
- As of October 1, 2006, UNENE welcomes Rosemary Warne as the new Administrative Assistant and thanks Lori Cole for all her efforts to make things happen behind the scenes, especially for helping to make the Joint Master's of Engineering degree program a success. We wish her good luck as she takes on a full role within the Department of Engineering Physics, McMaster University. Rosemary comes to us from the Office of Research Services at McMaster. Her experience will, no doubt, prove valuable to UNENE.

- Announcement: UNENE President Mohan Mathur retires. Bill Garland assumes role as Executive Director effective April, 2006.
