Here is the latest news on the Joint M. Eng. Degree program

All UNENE courses now offered using distance education option
During the academic year 2009/2010, all UNENE courses were given both live and using synchronous distance education tools - that is, you see the overheads and hear the professor in real time, along with the rest of the class, can ask questions etc. The feedback has been positive from both students and professors, and we will offer all future courses in a similar fashion. So if you are located far from the GTA, you can now take the UNENE courses remotely, from any location with a high-speed Internet connexion - e.g. your house. And if you miss a class or just want to review what your professor said, the lectures are recorded and can be re-visited until the course is over. Note that live attendance for at least one weekend is strongly recommended (or required, if there is a a final exam) - but your long-distance traveling can now be cut by 75%. Of course if you live in the GTA, you are still expected to attend in person.

For technical details on what you will need to do, please see the guide, "Getting Started with Distance Education Technology". (pdf 126kb)
